Botswana is a malaria area, you are therefore required to take all necessary precautions, prior to arrival please contact your local doctor for further information on recommended prophylactics etc.
Many lodges and safari companies will supply you will mosquito repellents, however we do recommend that you carry this with you –

YELLOW FEVER Vaccinations are recommended for any person, travelling to or via Zambia and South Africa, even if only in transit. Guests arriving in Botswana from Kenya or other yellow fever affected countries may also be required to show vaccination records – please contact your local GP/ Embassy’s for more information. Up until 2015, this was a requirement, it has since been advised that it is no longer a requirement for travel, but we do recommend that guests keep informed and up to date with this info by asking your Botswana holidays consultant.

**It is also a requirement that as of the 01st June – FOR ALL TRAVEL via South Africa (even if in transit) that All adults travelling with children under the age of 18yrs will be required to carry an original copy of the child’s Unabridged (full version) birth certificate. It is also advised that should you be travelling as a solo parent without the other parent, that one carries a certified affidavit with permission for the children to travel.
